Dates

Little Giraffes has dates available for our Pre School, Wraparound Holiday Club and INSET Day Childcare. We follow Lancashire County Council’s term dates and holidays where possible as Blackpool Council does not issue term dates and schools have discretion over term dates. We provide extended INSET day childcare to support as many families as possible with differing term dates.

All of our services are closed on all England and Wales bank holidays. Our amazing staff team complete whole service training days during weekends to minimise disruption to the families we serve. Dates for the 2025 to 2026 acadmic year are below. Little Giraffes will confirm future academic year service dates once information is available.

Pre School

Our service dates for our term time pre school for children aged two to five years (inclusive) are:

Spring One Term

Monday 5 January to Friday 13 January (30-day term)

Spring Two Term

Monday 23 February to Friday 27 March (25-day term)

Summer One Term

Monday 13 April to Friday 22 May (30-day term but one bank holiday, so 29-day service delivery)

Summer Two Term

Monday 8 June to Friday 17 July (30-day term)

Note: Our term time pre school service is for 38 weeks in line with FEEE entitlement and traditional academic year school length.

Wraparound Holiday Club

Our service dates for our wraparound holiday childcare/club for children aged three to eleven years (inclusive) are:

Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April (eight-day provision due to bank holidays)

Summer 2026 Holiday Club

Monday 27 July to Friday 21 August (20-day provision)
