Little Giraffes achieves their mission through the follow activities: 

• Self-Improvement Priorities – for our staff to focus on during our first year.  

• Self-Improvement Action Plan – for Little Giraffes to measure success.  

• Self-Evaluation Form – completed each term to review progress.  

• Quality Plan – with external accreditations and benchmarks to achieve alongside obtaining external professional feedback to drive improvement. 

• Quality Visits – embedded in all areas for effective self-assessment.  

  

Little Giraffes has a series of Self-Improvement Priorities to embed within its first year. The team have a comprehensive action plan to measure success.  

 

During the 2025 to 2026 academic year, to improve service delivery, Little Giraffes is working towards obtaining: 

• Halo Code 

• Millie’s Mark 

• School of Sanctuary Award 

• Early Years Inclusion Award (Level One) 

• Healthier Choices and Junior Healthier Choices Awards 

 

The staff are essential to delivering high quality inclusive childcare. All staff at Little Giraffes are fully committed to continuous personal and professional development. 

 

Little Giraffes has a comprehensive training programme for the team and all staff training days are planned on weekends to minimise disruption to the families we serve.

 

All-staff training days for 2025 to 2026 academic year: 

• Autumn Term – Saturday 6 December 2025 

• Spring Term – Saturday 14 March 2026 

• Summer Term – Saturday 13 June 2026
